Bridging Innovation and Expertise: CAM’s Industry Jury Session
From January 28th to 30th, CAM Institute of Design hosted its Industry Jury Sessions, a powerful intersection where veteran expertise mentors the raw innovation of youth. Students from Game Art, Programming, Animation, and Industrial Design presented portfolio-ready projects to a panel of leaders from AAA studios, indie developers, and engineering firms.
The jury featured a diverse lineup of professionals, including UI/UX specialist Ajibola Adewole-Oyebokun, Reframe Games founder Jade Yhap, and technical expert John Calem Harris. These mentors challenged students to balance emotional storytelling with technical optimization and real-world constraints. Michael Solomon, Lead Designer at EOS Studios, noted the students' immense potential, urging them to use their foundational skills to push beyond creative boundaries.
CAM Institute of Design is a design college based in Saint John, New Brunswick committed to nurturing design talent in Atlantic Canada. The Jury sessions are an integral part of design education at CAM. These sessions provide direct access to professional critique and industry-connected faculty.
