Financial Support for Students

At CAM Institute of Design, we understand that financing your education is a crucial aspect of your academic journey. Below are various financial aid options available to help you achieve your educational goals.

Federal and Provincial Student Loans

Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents (Landed Immigrants) enrolled in a full-time program are eligible for federal and provincial student loans. These loans can cover tuition fees, books, materials, living costs, and other expenses. The maximum annual loan amount varies by province.

Canada Student Grant for Full-time Students

This grant is automatically assessed when you apply for a student loan and is available to full-time students who demonstrate financial need.

Training Skills and Development (TSD)

Make an appointment with an employment counsellor to determine if you qualify for TSD funding.

Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP)

The LLP allows Canadian citizens to withdraw funds from their RRSPs to finance education without penalty. You can withdraw up to $10,000 per year (to a maximum of $20,000) for yourself or your partner, with a repayment period of ten years.

Canada Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP)

A RESP is a tax-deferred savings plan used to save for post-secondary education. Contributions can qualify for payments from the Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG), with investment income growing tax-free until distributed.

Student Lines of Credit

CIBC and the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) offer student lines of credit. Explore other options at financial institutions such as TD, BMO, and Scotiabank to find the best solution for your needs.
