Founded in 2020, CAM Institute of Design is the first-of-its-kind institute that offers a variety of in-depth design courses under two disciplines: Communication Design and Industrial Design. With a unique set of programs like Animation, Visual Effects, Game Art & Design, User Experience Design, Product Design and most importantly – Transportation Design, the only such program in Atlantic Canada, CAM aims to make New Brunswick Canada’s hub for design. The facility features high-tech softwares, gears and a working studio experience to gain hands-on experience and have a working portfolio even before they graduate. Having initially started the pilot batch at ConnexionWorks, the institute now calls the Maritime Singer Building it’s home. CAM is now set to welcome students through this grand opening event for the Fall 2022 intake.

“We founded CAM to fill the gap in talent within the design industry in Atlantic Canada. Design is everywhere around us, from the phone we use to the cars we drive, and the world is headed in that direction, even more so with giants like Google and Facebook shifting their focus toward the “metaverse.” Our vision at CAM is to equip our local talent with all the essential knowledge, experience, tools, and skills they need and empower them for the careers of today and tomorrow. We want to put New Brunswick on the map as a global design hub, and CAM Institute of Design is the first step in achieving that goal” – Kamran Mohammed, Co-Founder and Managing Director, CAM Institute of Design.
